Shame on Canada . . .

In Canada we have a government that attempts to use the courts to avoid living up to its basic human rights obligations. What a terrible shame. Stephen Harper is distroying Canada's international reputation and showing that it has no respect for Canadian or international law in the Omar Khadr case.

It's a small consolation, but at least when they lose in Supreme Court, THEN they'll finally have to do something. Hopefully in the meantime we Canadians can turf the Cons and find a government more willing to respect our human rights.

I agree. It should never even have gone to court. But I hope the Supreme Court trounces Harper.
